The BU portfolio is made up of various different accommodation types, operated and delivered by BU and our accommodation partners.

The accommodation you have booked will dictate who you pay your rent to, how much you need to pay, when you need to pay it and if you will need a Guarantor or not.

Contracts and codes of practice

You’ll find that each of our accommodation partners, as well as each BU-managed accommodation option, will have specific policies, contracts and processes, covering areas such as cancellations and contract flexibility.

All the properties in our portfolio are also signed up to either:

  • The Student Accommodation Code, for accommodation managed by educational establishments (Student Village and Dorchester House)
  • The National Code, for accommodation managed by private operators (all other halls of residence).
