You can book an appointment with a Careers Adviser who can support you through the career planning and job hunting process. You’ll be able to discuss your job search strategy and how to make your CV, covering letter and LinkedIn profiles stand out. You’ll also gain one-to-one feedback on your applications. If you are offered an interview you can book a practice interview and gain useful tips for how best to sell yourself and cope with interview nerves! We can also provide you with careers advice through one-to-one appointments for up to three years after you graduate.

As well as giving you advice about the career paths open to you, we can also assist you with writing your CV and covering letter, provide interview tips and help you find the best way to sell yourself in your chosen profession. 

Sometimes finding a job can be all about who you know rather than what you know, which is why networking is so important. We host employer presentations where you can find out more about working in a specific industry, and skills workshops to improve your CV writing or interview technique. Every October we host our annual Careers Fair where we invite dozens of employers on campus, providing you with information about insight days for first years, placement opportunities and graduate jobs. It’s a great chance to meet employers and find out more about different opportunities out there.
